CHICAGO/PARIS. Analysts are convinced that the wheat market in Western Europe will require imports to stabilise prices. China is, meanwhile, driving the corn market.

Wheat prices remain high
Algeria purchased 600,000 mt of wheat on Wednesday, mainly in France and partly also in Argentina. Prices are said to range at USD 313/mt CIF. The decline in value of the euro has improved the export potential for EU wheat. Since the Czech Republic and Poland have already exported much wheat traders in Eastern Germany are concerned over how to cover demand in May and June.
