Soybean: Nearly half of the European soybeans is produced in Ukraine

KIEV: Despite the large soybean cultivation volumes the outlook is that exports from Ukraine during the 2017/18 agricultural year will decrease by 17% in comparison with 2016/17. 70% of the cultivated soybean in Ukraine is GMO.

 

Ukraine's share in soybean production in Europe reaches 45%, according to data announced at a conference "Ukrainian soybean: organic and traditional" within the framework of the exhibition "Agro Spring 2018" in Ukraine, reported UkrArgoConsult. On the European part of Russia 19% of all soybeans volume in Europe are produced and 11% are harvested in Italy. France and Romania follow by 5% each. The crop of soybean in the rest European countries does not exceed 15%.
