MANISA. While exports are only slowly progressing, the TMO continues to buy raisins and sultanas from the growers. Overseas buyers are still profitting from the weak Turkish lira.

Exports lag further behind

Although prices are much lower than last year, seedless dried raisin exports are still lagging behind. Turkey has shipped as little as 33,929 mt overseas this season so far, 20% less than at this time last year. Weekly exports have also declined by 13.5% to 6,245 mt.
