Wheat: USDA expects EU wheat exports to increase significantly

FRANKFURT. The wheat markets tends to be slightly weaker. The new WASDE report showed mixed results, especially the higher EU wheat crop and the further increase in EU wheat exports surprised the market players.

Wheat started weaker into the new week. Chicago was 0.25 cents lower than last Friday and was quoted at 564.25 cents per bushel, Paris ranged at EUR 191.50 per metric tonne and was 25 cents lower, and the Black Sea region was quoted at USD 222.50 per metric tonne was 0.25 cents lower than Friday. At only 80,600 metric tonnes, weekly US wheat exports were 74% below the last week's and 87% below the four-week average. The WASDE report remained neutral.
